RSC was organized to make use of the scientific knowledge and expertise compiled by the about to retire individual scientists during a life-long study of often very unique fields or subjects. The diverse knowledge and skills of the retired scientists will be used to solve problems as they arise in industry, communities and academia alike. The goal of RSC is to place the retired scientists in a productive role in society. During 2007, the Cooperative has also begun to explore the possibility of becoming a social resource for retired scientists as well.
